Welcome to Golden Mile – a unique lifestyle farm nestled in the heart of Naumai, Northland. Home to a carefully curated collection of miniature cattle, rare birds, and exotic pets, our farm is a place where heritage breeding meets natural beauty.

We specialise in Miniature Herefords, White Galloways, and Miniature Donkeys, alongside free-ranging ostriches and emus. Our passion for animals also extends to an extraordinary variety of ornamental and rare species, including Cape Barren geese, white peacocks, Himalayan monal pheasants, wood ducks, tortoises, and box turtles.

At Golden Mile, we believe ethical breeding begins with respect – for the animals, the land, and the people who care for them. We prioritise calm temperaments, sound conformation, and genetic integrity in all our breeding programmes. Every animal is raised in a low-stress environment, with plenty of space, enrichment, and personal attention. We do not breed for novelty or trends, but for long-term health, sustainability, and purpose.

Our farm sits on land that has been in our family for generations. Once part of the rich kumara-growing flats of Ruawai, this land has evolved with the times – from traditional cropping to responsible livestock grazing and now a vibrant, diverse collection of animals.
